Wildside MTB Course Day 1 Cruise 1 - Pencil Pine
An easy cruise from Cradle Mountain Chateau to the start of the first competition stage near the Iris River.

Competition Stage 1 - Cradle
The Cradle stage sets the scene for the event with diverse riding over undulating alpine terrain. A fast, flat grassy track quickly narrows to a small, rocky creek crossing and a rough & in places soft 4WD trail. The track becomes smooth and fast after crossing the Iris River. A couple of bridges, fast gravel tracks, and a steady ascent on a rocky trail leads to more alpine plains and the stage finish near the Vale of Belvoir.
(Private land access restricted to race day only)

Cruise 2 - The Vale
The Cradle Mountain Link Road takes you through the Vale and up to a high point for excellent views of Cradle Mountain and Barn Bluff. A steep downhill and easy cruise leads to a lunch stop fringed by myrtle forest.

Competition Stage 2 - Que River
Another undulating stage, Que River takes riders through rainforest on fast open gravel tracks and provides an interesting perspective of the recent mining activity of the now closed Que River and Hellyer mines.
(Mining lease, access restricted to race day only)

Cruise 3 - Boco
A huge descent leads down the Murchison Highway to the lakeside village of Tullah. Relax and recuperate by the edge of the lake surrounded by mountains.
